Lately, testing the testnet points has felt a bit like going to work... It was supposed to be just practice, but as soon as someone shows off their leaderboard, and the group starts calculating "expectations," my mindset immediately changes.

My stop-loss is pretty simple: set a limit for myself, at most two nights + 0.05 ETH for trial and error costs, stop if I exceed it, rather than missing out or treating time and gas as sunk costs and stubbornly pushing through.
Last night, I even checked on the chain and saw that a single claim from a certain contract cost me 180k gas, so I immediately turned off the script.
Feeling like if I keep going, I’ll just be fighting myself.
Outside, Layer 2 is also arguing over TPS, fees, and subsidies—who’s more aggressive.
Honestly, all the fuss is just noise. I care more about whether the rules will change, whether they’ll be reset, or if there are penalty mechanisms—those are the real pitfalls...
Anyway, it’s just practice, don’t treat practice like a salary.
That’s all for now.
