Yesterday, I came across a bunch of people arguing about whether re-pledging and shared security are just profit-scheme “stacking dolls.” My first reaction was: don’t get spooked by these buzzwords—just grab onto the main thread: who’s responsible for the “order of things” and who gets the “final say.” Data availability, put simply, means: if something goes wrong, can you pull the ledger back out; ordering means: who has the authority to decide where you rank; finality means: can this transaction truly be undone or not. Have you noticed? So many of these narratives get retconned and re-skinned over and over, but they’re really all circling back to these three things. Looking back at my own missteps, it’s pretty much the same: I was only focused on the returns back then, and I didn’t get clear on who would ultimately call the shots—so my mindset got dragged along by the market directly… For now, that’s it—slowly listen to some music.
