Abstract generation in progress
May 31st, early summer in Harbin, with bright sunshine. In the international campus of Harbin Institute of Technology, in front of a series of uniquely styled historic buildings, the 11th collective wedding ceremony for doctoral students at the university kicked off on the lawn, with 187 couples arriving as scheduled. In the past two years, every couple participating in the collective wedding received a special gift from their alma mater—a diamond wedding ring. This year, the diamond weighs 1 carat. Naturally, the formation of a natural diamond in the environment requires hundreds of millions of years of high temperature and high pressure deep underground. However, this high-quality diamond from HIT Laboratory takes only a few days to go from "seed" to finished product. (Xinhua News Agency)
