I’m basically using L2 now just to make things easier: small interactions, a few quick clicks back and forth. L1, I only use when it’s truly necessary—I’d rather save up and make a single batch move so I don’t get “gas” taught every time. In plain terms, you can only choose a trade-off between experience and cost—don’t make yourself struggle with it.
Recently, I saw a new L2 rolling out incentives to boost TVL. In the group chat, a bunch of veteran users were complaining about “mining, selling, and dumping.” I felt itchy too and wanted to try it out, so I opened the on-chain data and stared at it for a long time. I still couldn’t make sense of the bridging + back-and-forth interaction paths at all, and I was worried that I’d end up doing a bunch of actions and effectively send money to gas fees or fake contracts… In the end, I just closed everything and went to sleep. If you don’t understand it, don’t do anything for now—really, there’s no shame in that.
