CME opens 24/7 trading for Bitcoin futures and options starting from Friday

Mars Finance News, CME refers to the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, and its subsidiary Globex platform's Bitcoin futures and options have switched to 24/7 trading starting from Friday, ending the previous fixed market closure from Friday to Sunday. The "CME gap" caused by weekend closures has consequently been closed. Despite the change in trading mechanisms, market liquidity remains mainly concentrated in ETF options and offshore perpetual contracts. The open interest in IBIT options significantly exceeds that of CME crypto options market.
