So, a year after all that artificial intelligence hype in 2025, it’s clear that the biggest tech companies in the world truly dominate the market. But what I found most interesting is how the tech sector as a whole moved from a period of uncertainty to establish itself as the most solid bet for investors.
In the global ranking, the American concentration is staggering. Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, Alphabet, and Tesla continue to set the rules. Nvidia, in particular, had an impressive trajectory — in five years, its stock value appreciated by 1,646%. This placed the company above giants like Apple and Microsoft in market capitalization. It’s the kind of move that makes any investor reflect on where they were allocating their capital.
But what really caught my attention is the growing prominence of the largest tech companies in Brazil. I’m not just talking about Totvs, which announced partnerships with generative AI and cloud integration — I’m talking about a bigger movement. Locaweb and Sinqia also started gaining ground in conversations about investing in equities.
I see the tech sector in 2025 and 2026 as a turning point. Automation, big data, blockchain, and cloud computing are no longer buzzwords — they are infrastructure. And Brazil’s biggest tech companies are finally realizing this, optimizing services and increasing market value.
What intrigues me now is whether this momentum continues. Experts point out that there’s still room for growth, especially in companies with strong cash flow and real exposure to innovation. It’s not a blind bet — it’s fundamental analysis.
For those thinking about entering now, in 2026, the recommendation remains: stay attentive to the tech sector, but invest with knowledge. The history of recent valuations shows that those who understood the movement early got ahead.
