Today I keep seeing someone post a screenshot of an “xx badge/identity,” and the caption says “sticking to check-in for the 37th day”… honestly, I’m a little overwhelmed. Plainly put, this social mining setup is basically burning your time as fuel, using points like fireworks, and in the end whether you can actually redeem anything depends on the project team’s mood—heck, they even change the parameters and you can go from an “OG” to a “passerby.” And not to mention, with the recent cross-chain bridges being hacked and stolen, or oracles throwing errors, everyone just collectively “waits for confirmation” and treats it as consensus: nothing’s wrong on-chain, people just get scared first. Anyway, now I only do two things: if I can leave evidence, I’ll leave evidence; if I can’t, I’ll just pretend I didn’t see it. These badges aren’t worth giving up too much of my life to compete and grind for.
