I’ve recently received quite a few messages from friends asking about Trade BO — something called Binary Options. Actually, this is a topic I’ve been following closely for 2-3 years, and I must say that what’s happening around Trade BO in Vietnam is quite concerning.

What is Trade BO? Simply put, it’s a form of predicting whether an asset’s price will go up or down within a very short period — usually just 30 seconds to 1 minute. If you guess correctly, you receive a fixed profit of about 80-95% of your stake. If you’re wrong, you lose 100%. It sounds simple, but in reality, this is a completely mathematically unfavorable game for investors.

The confusing part is why Trade BO is banned in the US and Europe but thriving in Vietnam? The answer is: it’s not licensed. International financial authorities have recognized that Trade BO is essentially identical to online gambling rather than investment. The mathematical expectation is always negative — even if you guess correctly 50% of the time, you will still lose money in the long run because the win/loss ratio is unbalanced.

But what’s truly brutal are the scam BO platforms in Vietnam. I’ve followed many cases, and their tactics are becoming more sophisticated. In 2026, they no longer just use “real expert traders” to read signals, but also employ Deepfake and AI to impersonate the voices of famous financial experts. Some platforms even sell “AI trading Bots” promising 99% win rates, but in fact, they are just code programmed to generate a string of fake wins initially, luring investors to deposit large amounts, then suddenly shutting down the accounts.

Recognizing a scam Trade BO platform is quite simple: if they promise huge profits, cover losses, and guarantee account burnouts — that’s a red flag. If they promote multi-level marketing with super high referral commissions up to 7 levels — definitely a scam. If depositing money is easy but withdrawing triggers errors or funds are frozen — that’s a trap. And most importantly, if they require deposits via USDT on blockchain instead of transparent bank transfers — that’s to “cut off the money trail” so authorities find it harder to investigate.

Compared to Forex or Crypto CFDs, Trade BO is much worse in many ways. Forex and Crypto allow you to control risk with Stop Loss, flexible take profit. Trade BO doesn’t — once a trade is executed, you completely lose control. Forex and Crypto operate on real markets with deep liquidity and transparent prices. Trade BO platforms create their own liquidity, can manipulate candles, lag the charts to “kill” your orders.

I advise you to avoid Trade BO entirely. If you want to trade financially, choose Forex or Crypto through reputable platforms licensed by ASIC, FCA, CySEC. These markets allow you to implement real hedging strategies, professional risk management, and most importantly, they are protected by law.

If you’ve already deposited money into a scam Trade BO platform, stay calm. Absolutely do not deposit more money no matter what reasons they give. Take screenshots of all evidence, then report to your local police or Cybersecurity agency. That’s the only way to have a chance to recover your funds.

Perhaps the biggest lesson here is: if an opportunity to make money sounds too good to be true, it probably isn’t real. Genuine financial investing is about probabilities, risk management, and patience — not flipping a coin every 30 seconds.
