MARA Holdings disclosed in a DEF14A filing that it paid about $8.2 million for personal security expenses for CEO Fred Thiel and CFO Salman Khan, including $868,000 in one-time vehicle armor costs. The filing also listed a $58,000 home security installation for Thiel. MARA's board said the measures were necessary because the company's public Bitcoin holdings create higher risks for executives.
