I now trust the saying "act three steps before hitting the liquidation line" more than before. Don't wait until there's only one step left to panic. My approach is pretty simple: first, reduce my position size; if I can add margin, I add a little but not go all-in; then, check if the collateral's volatility is high—if it is, I switch to more stable assets to avoid those sharp drawdowns that can wipe out everything with a single needle. The rest is just waiting—waiting for confirmation, waiting for a pullback, waiting to think things through—basically, as long as I survive. During that extreme funding rate wave recently, the group argued whether to reverse or keep squeezing the bubble. I just assume the market will be even more irrational, and I won't gamble on the liquidation line.
