CoinWorld News reports that since the start of the war, Iran has destroyed more than twenty MQ-9 "Reaper" drones used by the U.S. military, with a loss value of nearly $1 billion, equivalent to 20% of the pre-war drone inventory that the Pentagon found difficult to replace. According to informed sources, the U.S. military has lost at least 24 "Reaper" drones so far, possibly up to 30, including drones that were later damaged and scrapped. This loss is higher than previous estimates. A report released earlier this month by the Congressional Research Service states that 24 "Reaper" drones have been lost.
