I was wondering recently how much money there is in the world, and the numbers are truly crazy. Around us, there are about 37 trillion dollars in cash and bank deposits, but that's just the beginning. When we add investments, derivatives, and cryptocurrencies, we're already talking about over 1.2 quadrillion dollars. That's an enormous amount of capital.

Interestingly, how much money in the world is in physical form? It turns out that only 6.6 trillion dollars are actual coins and banknotes. The rest are account figures, digital records that exist only in banking systems. A broader measure of the money supply, considering deposits and liquid assets, can be expressed in tens of trillions.

But here comes a really interesting question: how much of this money is truly ours? How much money is there in the world, and what percentage of it constitutes our resources? For most of us, it's a fraction of a percent of the entire system. That's why people are looking for alternatives like Bitcoin or other assets that can operate outside the traditional financial system. Maybe that's what we should be thinking about as we observe these astronomical numbers.
