JD.com Suqian launches embodied intelligence data collection
Mars Finance News, May 21—JD.com recently rolled out China’s first “embodied intelligence data collection community” in Suqian, Jiangsu Province. The company is recruiting local residents to wear lightweight wearable devices (JoyEgoCam) to simultaneously collect human motion trajectory and force data in everyday household scenarios. The project’s first batch has brought in several hundred full-time mothers and community residents. Using standardized motion capture processes, it produces more than 5,000 hours of real-world interaction data per day, and the per-hour data annotation cost is 37% lower than the industry average. The company also announced a three-year plan: it intends to link up with more than 100,000 internal employees and external industry participants to build a data set on the order of tens of millions of hours covering six major fields, including family services and industrial manufacturing, with the goal of becoming the world’s largest embodied intelligence data services provider.
