On May 18, 2010, in Florida, programmer Laszlo Hanyecz opened BitcoinTalk and typed a line that would later be engraved into crypto history:
“I’ll pay 10,000 BTC for a couple of pizzas.”

On May 22, a 19-year-old British teenager with the username jercos said: “I’ll order Papa John’s for you, send me your address and the coins.” The transaction was completed.
