Recently, when the on-chain traffic gets a bit crowded, I feel like I'm queuing at a vegetable market when I send transactions... They first pile up in the mempool, and miners/packagers obviously prioritize those who pay higher tips. If you see your wallet stuck in pending, it might actually have been overtaken by a more expensive transaction later on, or even timed out and sent back; what's more annoying is that some operations are connected, if the first one doesn't get into a block, the next one can only wait, and the price difference can disappear in an instant.
I'm just a gardener trimming positions; when congestion happens, I usually don't fight it head-on: either set a reasonable gas fee from the start, or simply cancel and resend, don't get caught up in emotions. Recently, when Meme and celebrities shout, attention shifts and it’s easier to get overwhelmed, so newcomers really shouldn't rush to take the final baton... Anyway, it's better to go slow if possible, a few minutes of delay won't hurt, and the gains aren't that different, but making mistakes can cost a lot. That's all for now.
