Patrick Witt, executive director of the White House President’s Council of Advisors for Digital Assets, announced that a formal update on the U.S. Strategic #Bitcoin Reserve is nearing release. He cited a “breakthrough” regarding the legal basis, custody arrangements, and an interagency reporting framework. The reserve was established by President Trump’s March 6, 2025 executive order, which directs Treasury to custody forfeited bitcoin:native in the reserve and prohibits selling bitcoin:native held there. #crypto
