Just watched a swap on-chain. I went in with the first step, and the very next step I got “sandwiched”—it feels like hearing a radio broadcast and, halfway through, an ad suddenly cuts in… that helpless kind of annoyance. You think you’re seizing an opportunity, but it may be that you’re actually topping someone else up with their transaction fees and tips. As for the sandwich attack, put simply: you’re rushing, I’m not—I just squeeze you by placing buys both in front of and behind you.

Lately, Meme and celebrities calling out a couple of catchphrases have gotten hot again, with attention swinging back and forth. Newcomers are especially likely to act on impulse and end up being the last relay baton. I feel tempted too, but right now I’m leaning toward going slower: don’t let slippage get too big, don’t chase those “take off immediately” storylines. I’d rather make a little less—at least than become a stepping stone in someone else’s arbitrage path… Anyway, there are on-chain stories every day. As long as you’re still alive, you can keep listening.
