German Finance Minister Says G7's Reducing Dependence on Rare Earths Is "Urgent"

Golden Finance reports that on May 19th, German Finance Minister Christian Lindner stated that G7 countries have multiple options to reduce dependence on rare earths, and that it is an urgent matter. Lindner said that G7 member countries must improve procurement mechanisms and explore ways to expand production. He also proposed establishing recycling quotas, setting targets or requirements to recover and reuse a certain proportion of key raw materials, such as rare earths.
