Bhutan Moves $8.1M in Bitcoin as Sovereign Holdings Fall 70%

Bhutan moved 100 BTC worth $8.1 million from its sovereign wallets on May 12, extending a sell-off that has cut its Bitcoin reserves by about 70% from their late-2024 peak. Arkham Intelligence data shows Bhutan has sold about $230.39 million in BTC since January 2026 and now holds roughly 3,100 BTC worth about $252 million.
