Techub News reports that, according to TechCrunch, OpenAI announced a preview of personal finance features for ChatGPT Pro users, allowing users to connect to over 12,000 financial institution accounts via Plaid, including Schwab, Fidelity, Chase, and others, enabling expense analysis, portfolio tracking, and future financial planning. This feature is developed based on the GPT-5.5 model, and OpenAI states that over 200 million users ask ChatGPT financial questions each month. The company acquired the team from the personal finance startup Hiro a month ago to assist in development, and it is currently only available to US-based Pro users, with plans to support Intuit and expand to Plus users in the future.
