Staying up late to check on-chain data until my eyes feel sore… Recently, there’s been another wave of new L1/L2 projects shouting incentives to boost TVL. I understand the old users complaining about “mine, then pick/sell,” too. To put it simply, everyone is betting on whether your chain will “hold up” in the end—whether it really “adds up” to something.
What I’m not too worried about right now is the terminology. I focus on one main thread: where the data is stored, who gets in line first, and how long it actually takes to become real. Data availability is like “don’t lose the ledger,” ordering is like “who cuts in line,” and finality is whether “this transaction can or can’t be changed.”
Last night, I took 0.8u and tested it back and forth—crossing over, coming back, and doing it repeatedly—and after waiting more than ten seconds my mindset started to get restless… In any case, be conservative first. The excitement is exciting, but don’t treat irreversible actions as the default.
