PG&E and Tesla have announced that the Tesla Cybertruck, Powershare Gateway, and Universal Wall Connector are now approved for PG&E’s residential Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) program. This initiative allows Cybertruck owners to use their vehicle for home backup during outages and earn money by selling power back to the grid, representing California’s first AC vehicle-to-grid application. Customers can receive up to $4,500 in incentives for participating in this program, which aims to enhance grid resilience and affordability.
