It's interesting to observe how the Mask brothers are taking completely different paths, even though they grew up in the same family. Recently, Kimball Musk posted a rather sharp critique of Trump on X, discussing the tariffs imposed and their impact on American consumers. This was unexpected, considering his brother Elon seems to support the current administration's policies. Kimball, who has a net worth of $700 million mainly thanks to his stake in Tesla, isn't afraid to voice his own opinion.

What I find fascinating about Kimball Musk is his clear difference from his brother despite all the external similarities. Both were born in Pretoria, they have the same facial features: square jaw, straight nose, green eyes. Both hold South African, Canadian, and American citizenship. But while Elon focuses on space and electric vehicles, Kimball has chosen a completely different mission — he is known for his work in healthy eating and sustainable development. And yes, his signature cowboy style with a hat has become his recognizable symbol.

Their family history is quite heavy. Kimball, Elon, and their younger sister Tosca experienced family violence, which led to their mother Maya's divorce in the late 70s. After that, the family moved to Canada, then to the United States. Despite all the hardships, the brothers remained close — blood is blood, as they say.

Interesting fact: both brothers started their entrepreneurial journey together. They founded Zip2, a company that provided business software for the internet. In 1999, they sold the startup Compaq for $307 million. After that, their paths diverged, but each achieved significant success in their own field. Kimball Musk chose a path of creation for the good of the planet, which sets him apart from his brother, although both are undoubtedly people who want to change the world.
