Honestly, I spent $4 to learn a lesson, but this new version of the app really has some features
#Gate Prediction Market Upgrade Experience
First, I’ll share my order, or else it seems like I’m not being sincere.
$4.14 principal, bet on Bitcoin’s May 11th high above $80k YES. At the time, I thought, BTC rebounded a couple of days ago, breaking $80,000 shouldn’t be hard, right? But today I opened the app and saw, profit $0, change 0%, today’s profit and loss -$4.14 (-25.66%). Alright, mainly about participation.
But honestly, even though I lost the bet, the experience of the upgraded app is definitely much smoother than before. I’ve always complained that Polymarket’s loading was slow, especially when switching to the “Positions” tab, the old version would always lag for a second or two, and sometimes price refreshes would be delayed. Now, after updating to 8.18.5, the order response speed is noticeably faster, and scrolling is much smoother.
Also, I want to mention the translation feature. Previously, reading market descriptions in English was half guessing, half guessing, but now with built-in translation, it’s much more comfortable, especially for those niche markets like politics and sports. I used to be too lazy to look at them, but now I can at least skim the main content.
This $4 is just tuition, a good app is what matters for the long term. Next time I do homework, I hope the network won’t lag again.
