Recently, the market for altcoins has indeed picked up, and there's a logic behind this wave that must be understood. The most liquid places in the entire crypto market are those major exchanges, and the main battlegrounds for big players are also here, so the launch of the altcoin season has never been accidental.
Some time ago, a major exchange announced the delisting of some low-activity coins, and I sensed it at the time—that those low market cap shells were starting to have speculative potential, which became the fuse for igniting the altcoin season. Now it’s fully blossomed, but honestly, don’t expect everyone to make a killing like in past altcoin seasons. The current altcoin market has long entered an era of stockpile competition, making profits much harder.
My own advice is, if you want to chase high, always remember to set stop-losses. Projects that haven’t moved in the past couple of days might fall even faster later, because even the big players are too lazy to touch them anymore.
There are a few key points to grasp when trading altcoins. First, focus on projects related to a major exchange or the public chain ecosystem; this is the main trend and the direction with the best liquidity. Second, look for those that previously surged wildly and have recently cooled off—it's likely that the big players’ chips haven’t been fully cleared out yet, and there are still opportunities for old hype to be reignited, like SIREN. Currently, STO-type projects fall into this category.
The third and most critical angle is to find high-controlled, low-market-cap altcoins with large contract holdings, preferably combined with the feature of being associated with a major exchange that has futures but no spot trading. These projects are best if they previously experienced a big hype and had consensus, like ORDI and PNUT, which fit this logic.
With these few strategies, jump in while the hype is still there—time windows are probably only 1-2 days, as the cooling-off period tends to come faster than expected. Don’t gamble recklessly; always set proper stop-losses.
