I've been trying out various streaming devices lately, and I realized that startup speed is really important. The Apple TV 4K is truly snappy and provides stable picture quality. However, its high price is a drawback. On the other hand, the Fire TV Stick 4K MAX can be purchased cheaply during sales and operates almost as smoothly, so if you're focused on cost performance, this might be the better choice. The Google TV Streamer 4K isn't bad either, but it tends to be on the higher end price-wise. Honestly, when choosing a streaming device, it all comes down to balancing startup speed and price. If you have a generous budget, Apple is the way to go; if you're prioritizing cost performance, the Fire TV series is a good option; and if you're a heavy user of Google services, the Google TV lineup should suffice. If you want to turn an old TV into a smart TV, there are affordable streaming devices available, and the options are really increasing.
