Been thinking about shiba inu lately, and honestly? The more I look at it, the less convinced I am this is a 10-year hold.

Let's be real - shiba inu's entire value proposition hinges on one thing: the community. The ShibArmy kept this thing afloat through multiple bear cycles, and yeah, that's impressive. But here's the thing that keeps nagging at me. The token is down over 90% from its all-time high, and we're already five years deep into this cycle. If the community was truly holding strong, wouldn't we see more momentum by now?

I get it. Shiba inu has infrastructure now. Shibarium is live as a Layer-2 solution. There's ShibaSwap for trading. They even built out a metaverse. On paper, it looks like the project evolved beyond just being a meme. But execution is where it falls apart. The developer ecosystem is thin. Really thin. Compare that to projects that are actually shipping features and attracting talent, and shiba inu just doesn't stack up.

Here's what concerns me most: this token moves on hype cycles, not fundamentals. When sentiment shifts, capital flows elsewhere. And when it does, the drop is brutal. We've seen this movie before.

Could there be another bull run that temporarily pumps shiba inu? Sure. But I'm not betting my portfolio on irrational exuberance. The smart move for anyone thinking about a 10-year horizon? Probably avoid it altogether. There are too many projects with actual utility and real developer momentum to waste time waiting for shiba inu to prove it belongs in that tier.

The community is loyal, I'll give them that. But loyalty doesn't equal long-term value creation.
