Deep Tide TechFlow news: On May 08, according to Jin10 citing a report from CNN, on Thursday a federal court ruled that the 10% across-the-board tariffs implemented by U.S. President Trump are unlawful, putting the policy at risk. A panel of judges at the U.S. International Trade Court ruled 2-1 that the government lacked grounds and could not impose tariffs under Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974. The report said that the ruling on Thursday requires the government to stop collecting these tariffs from the plaintiffs (a group of small businesses and several states governed by the Democratic Party) and to refund the amounts that had been paid. Apart from the plaintiffs, the tariff measures for all other importers will remain in effect until July. The report also said that so far, the court has only blocked tariffs imposed on the two companies that filed the lawsuit and on the state of Washington.
