I have been observing the Chinese cryptocurrency market for a while, and the truth is that there are some quite interesting projects worth keeping on your radar. They are not the most talked about on social media, but they have solid fundamentals and real use cases.
Let's start with NEO, which you probably already know. It is the one everyone calls "the Ethereum of China," and not without reason. The project aims to build an intelligent digital economy using smart contracts and verifiable digital identity. Currently, it is trading around $2.97 with a 5.43% increase in 24 hours. The interesting part is that it provides a fairly robust environment for developing decentralized DApps.
Next is Conflux, which is probably one of the few Chinese projects with official approval within the country. It uses a mechanism called Tree-Graph that allows it to process transactions at high speed. The CFX is trading around $0.06 with a 4.16% increase in the last day. What sets it apart is its focus on Web3 applications, digital identity, and direct collaborations with governments.
VeChain is another Chinese project with a clear proposal. It connects blockchain with real supply chains, allowing products to be tracked from origin to the final consumer. It is applied in industry, fashion, automobiles, and food. The VET is at $0.01 and showed a 6.35% increase in 24 hours, reflecting some interest in the traceability sector.
Ontology deserves attention if you are interested in digital identity. It is a blockchain network specializing in data management and decentralized identity verification. It helps companies build secure systems without intermediaries. Although it is currently down 11.61% (trading at $0.06), the project maintains its value proposition intact.
Finally, there is QTUM, which takes the best of two worlds: Bitcoin's security with Ethereum's programmability. It provides a balanced environment for developing DApps with good performance and flexibility. It is currently trading at $0.93 with a positive movement of 4.46% in 24 hours.
What I find interesting about these Chinese cryptocurrencies is that they have concrete use cases beyond speculation. They are not just theoretical projects. If you want to diversify your portfolio with assets that have fundamentals within the Chinese ecosystem, these five deserve your attention. You can follow their movements on Gate and do your own analysis before making any decision.
