On April 27th local time, U.S. President Trump stated that he hopes the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner, which was interrupted by a shooting incident, can be rescheduled to take place “within about 30 days.” In an interview, Trump said the event “should be an important occasion” and should not be disrupted by “criminals altering the normal course of the country.” He also previously expressed hope that the dinner could proceed as planned.
