I was trying to do a small on-chain tweak earlier, but it got stuck… I stared at the pending status for half a day, and my mindset was just as anxious as watching a voting countdown. During congestion, once your transaction gets into the mempool, it’s like taking a number at a deli: it gets cut in front by a bunch of people who are more willing to add “tips.” Miners/packagers prioritize the transactions that pay more—if you pay less, you just keep lying there. And if there are other transactions with the same nonce behind it, then until the ones in front get included, the later ones won’t be able to move either. Even worse, in the middle you might get “front-ran” by someone else—when you clearly hit confirm, the actual execution order has already gone off track.

Recently, everyone has been comparing RWA / US Treasury yield rates to on-chain yield products. To be blunt, many of the risks on-chain can’t be explained by yield alone. Just congestion plus execution uncertainty is enough to make you want to pull your hair out… Anyway, since I’m not confident right now, I’ll make fewer parameter changes—I’d rather wait for the network to ease up before sending, so I don’t end up creating problems and drama for myself.
