Russian Foreign Ministry: Over 24k Russian civilians have been attacked by Ukraine since the Russia-Ukraine conflict began

On April 24th local time, Russian Foreign Ministry Ambassador-at-Large Miroshnik stated at a press conference that in the first quarter of 2026, a total of 1,725 civilians were attacked by Ukraine, including 1,459 injured and 266 killed, an increase of 236 civilian casualties compared to the same period in 2025. Additionally, in the first quarter of 2026, the number of strikes by the Ukrainian military against civilian facilities within Russia doubled compared to the same period in 2025, with at least 43,772 various munitions launched. Miroshnik pointed out that since the Russia-Ukraine conflict began, at least 24,872 Russian civilians have been attacked by Ukraine, including 19,861 injured (including 1,153 minors) and 8,011 killed (including 243 minors).
