I was looking at the numbers on global wealth and I started to wonder: who are really the richest people in the world right now? The answer is quite fascinating when you think about how wealth is concentrating among tech founders.

Musk remains virtually unreachable. We're talking about $726 billion. That’s an unprecedented figure in modern history. If you look at where all this wealth comes from, it’s from SpaceX, Starlink, his positions in Tesla, and his growing influence in AI. Essentially, he has built a portfolio that represents the future.

After him, the gap is still huge but at least there is movement. Larry Page with $270 billion thanks to Alphabet’s dominance in artificial intelligence, then Jeff Bezos at $255 billion with AWS and logistics that continue to print money. Sergey Brin, Larry Ellison, Mark Zuckerberg... the list continues with the usual tech names.

This is the interesting part: who are the richest people in the world today? Almost all of them are founders of tech companies who have maintained their equity positions for decades. It’s not luck; they saw the trend before others did.

If you look at what is fueling this entire expansion of wealth, it’s clear. AI has exploded, cloud computing continues to grow, the space sector is literally taking off, and semiconductors have become essential. American tech companies dominate completely. And the founders who believed in their vision and held onto their shares? They’ve become unimaginably rich.

Bernard Arnault with $205 billion shows that it’s not just tech, but the trend is clear. Steve Ballmer, Jensen Huang, even Warren Buffett, who remains at $151 billion... all of them have benefited from megatrends that are still ongoing.

The real question is: who are the richest people in the world and what does this concentration of wealth tell us? It tells us that the future belongs to those who have built critical infrastructure and maintained it. In our crypto space, we see similar dynamics with project founders who believed in long-term vision.
