These past two days, I’ve been watching on-chain whales shuttle back and forth, and mainnet ↔ L2 feels like transferring on the subway: mainnet is pricey but solid, while L2 is cheaper but sometimes you have to wait—and you need to take one extra step. For regular people, I don’t think you should overthink “picking a side.” For small, high-frequency actions, just send it straight to L2. If you really need to move large amounts in or out, or you’re signing contracts that are the kind you can’t make sense of at a glance, then it’s still better to go back to mainnet, pay the tuition, and buy some peace of mind... Anyway, every time I see gas spike, I send a cat picture first to calm down.

Also, the group chat has been pretty split lately over the privacy-coin/mixing-coin compliance issue. Put simply, ordinary users fear that “I’m only transferring money, and I end up getting accidentally targeted.” So I’m trying to stay off gray paths as much as possible. If I can use an official bridge, I don’t use sketchy/unreliable bridges; and if I can approve less, I approve less. Even a cat stepping on the keyboard is more reliable than me randomly granting authorizations.
