been seeing so many people confused about what 1K actually means in crypto and online spaces, so thought I'd share a quick breakdown.

Basically, K = thousand. That's it. It comes from "kilo." So when someone says 1K, they mean 1,000. Pretty straightforward. 10K is 10,000, 100K is 100,000. You get the idea.

Then you've got Million (M). 1 Million is literally a thousand of those thousands – 1,000,000. So 5M means 5 million, 10M means 10 million. I know it sounds wild when you first see these numbers thrown around, but once you get it, it clicks.

And then there's Billion (B). This is where things get really big. 1 Billion = 1,000,000,000. That's a thousand millions. When you see crypto market caps or trading volumes in the billions, now you know what you're actually looking at.

Honestly, understanding these terms changed how I read market data. Like, there's a huge difference between a token doing 1K in volume versus 1M in volume. Same with market caps – whether something is valued at 1M or 1B completely changes the risk profile.

If you're spending time on crypto, YouTube, trading platforms, anywhere really – you'll run into these abbreviations constantly. Might as well know exactly what they mean so you're not guessing or making decisions based on fuzzy numbers. Pretty useful to have this locked in.
