Bank of America: Global Large-Scale Cloud Computing Companies' AI Capital Expenditure May Reach $1 Trillion by 2027

Bank of America Securities releases a semiconductor industry research report. After the analyst Vivek Arya’s team analyzed the quarterly earnings reports of the four major U.S. tech giants—Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and Meta—released in succession and updated their capital expenditure outlook, they raised the 2026 global hyperscale cloud computing company’s capital expenditure forecast to over $800 billion, a 67% year-over-year increase, and they expect 2027 to further exceed $1 trillion, with growth of approximately 25%.
