"Chongqing City Promotes the Development and Capacity Enhancement Action Plan for the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-City Economic Circle" Officially Released

Recently, the “Chongqing City Action Plan for Enhancing the Development Capacity of the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin City Economic Circle (2026–2030)” was officially released: it will implement a modern infrastructure network reinforcement and upgrading initiative. Build a systematic, complete, efficient, practical, intelligent, green, safe, and reliable modern infrastructure network, promote the renewal of traditional infrastructure and digital intelligence transformation. By 2030, Chongqing’s highway mileage will reach 5,700 kilometers, high-grade waterway mileage will exceed 1,300 kilometers, external power grid capacity into Chongqing will reach 26 million kilowatts, new large-scale water conservancy projects will have an annual water supply capacity of 1.4 billion cubic meters, and the Sichuan-Chongqing railway network will reach 13k kilometers. Among them, build new infrastructure with strong empowerment, deep integration, and high intelligence. Accelerate the evolution and upgrade from dual gigabit networks to dual ten-gigabit networks, promote new network technologies such as visual networks, and timely initiate commercial 6G network deployment. Make good use of the national top-level industrial internet identification and resolution node (Chongqing), and the secondary industrial internet nodes (Western China) totaling over 60. Construct blockchain digital infrastructure and create a national blockchain network Southwest hub. Strengthen the BeiDou navigation enhancement system, increase the construction of ground facilities such as customs clearance stations and satellite internet measurement and control centers, and promote commercial satellite networking.
