Southwest pilots use evasive action to avoid collision at airport, company says

Southwest Airlines confirmed that pilots of Flight 507 took evasive action to avoid a collision with another Southwest flight at Nashville International Airport. While attempting a go-around due to gusty winds, Flight 507 was put on a path conflicting with Flight 1152, which was departing from a parallel runway, based on air traffic control instructions and onboard alerts. Both flight crews responded to their alerts, and no collision occurred, with both planes landing safely or continuing to their destinations.
