CryptoWorld News: Microsoft (MSFT) achieved growth in cloud revenue for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, with expenditure increases below expectations. Microsoft's capital expenditure for Q3 rose 49% to $31.9 billion, compared to the previous estimate of $34.9 billion. The total capital expenditure for the second quarter was $37.5 billion. The Azure cloud computing division's revenue grew as expected by 40% this quarter, faster than the 39% growth in the previous three months. This performance may ease market concerns: previously, Microsoft's slow promotion of the enterprise Copilot 365 assistant and over-reliance on OpenAI may have weakened Microsoft's early lead in the AI race. Additionally, this also helps to justify data center spending—although such spending has put pressure on cash flow, the major cloud service providers are expected to invest over $600 billion in AI infrastructure this year.
