Recently, I saw a bunch of social mining, points, and identity badges again, basically using your time as fuel. I used to be into it too, but that bridge lesson really taught me: badges can't help you bear risks, and if something goes wrong, no one will back you up.

Now I ask myself three questions before looking at a project: who holds the permissions, whether there has been an audit, and if there’s an emergency plan in case of real issues. AI agents and automated trading have been pretty popular lately, with lots of hype, but I care more about what they actually sign on your behalf and whether the authorizations can be revoked... Anyway, I’d rather go slower.

My current fix is like applying patches, small and careful: less interaction, fewer permissions, turn off what should be turned off. If the points are gone, they’re gone—don’t empty your life for a profile frame. That’s it for now.
