Canada Proposes Crypto ATM Ban in Spring Economic Update

Canada proposed a ban on crypto ATMs in its spring economic update, targeting a network of roughly 4,000 machines. The government called the kiosks a primary method for fraud and for criminals to place cash proceeds of crime. The proposal included no timeline, and Canadians would still be able to buy crypto from legitimate brick-and-mortar money services businesses.
