Yesterday, I came across another wave of “new tasks” during the airdrop season. Basically, the points system has made “farming rewards” feel like clocking in at work, and platforms are getting increasingly stricter about botting and anti-fraud—so in the end, everyone becomes more anxious and more likely to chase whatever’s trending. My anti-scam method is a bit old-fashioned: first, check whether you’re being trapped by “time cost.” If the moment a hot topic changes you feel like you have to rush to make up assignments, there’s a good chance your attention has been sold.

Also, I care more about signature details now: don’t click unknown links at random, and if the permissions shown in the signature pop-up are written in a flashy, overcomplicated way, just close it. Sometimes you’re not the one getting targeted by the project—it’s you authorizing the wallet and signing as if it were a consent form. And if a transaction gets stuck or the nonce goes wrong, don’t keep clicking retry repeatedly—over-correcting just makes it messier. Sort out the pending first… In any case, I’d rather miss a round than hand over both my attention and my permissions just for a few points.
