The Foreign Investment Security Review Office under the National Development and Reform Commission recently halted a foreign investment acquisition, requiring the involved party to cancel the transaction.


The halted acquisition is the AI project Manus, which Meta previously announced with great fanfare to spend 2 billion USD to acquire.
Since then, the relevant operators and investors have also undergone investigations by regulatory authorities.
