Golden Finance reports that on April 28th, according to IT Home, DeepSeek released a 58-page V4 technical report last week, and a list of nearly 300 “Research and Engineering” authors has attracted attention. The founder Liang Wenfeng is listed alongside all researchers and engineers. Among the list, 10 people are marked as “resigned,” including core members Wang Bingxuan, Wei Haoran, Guo Daya, and others. It is reported that since the second half of 2025 until now, at least 5 core R&D members of DeepSeek have confirmed their departure.
Sources say that Wang Bingxuan, the core author of DeepSeek’s first-generation large language model, has gone to Tencent; V2 core contributor Luo Fuli was recruited by Xiaomi; R1 core researcher Guo Daya joined ByteDance’s Seed team; multimodal technology core researcher Ruan Chong also left to join autonomous driving technology company Yuanrong Qixing; OCR series core author Wei Haoran’s next destination has not been disclosed. These core R&D members cover four main technical lines: foundation models, reasoning, OCR, and multimodal.
