CryptoWorld News reports that, according to Bitcoin Magazine, OpenAgents has announced the completion of a $1.3 million seed round of financing, aiming to build Bitcoin-native artificial intelligence infrastructure. The company plans to use this funding to expand its distributed computing nodes, Pylon, allowing users to sell idle computing power to earn Bitcoin, and to accelerate the development of its Rust-based machine learning framework, Psionic. OpenAgents founder and CEO Christopher David said, “The United States needs an open-source AI laboratory that can compete at the cutting edge, rather than rebuilding the closed, centralized incentive mechanisms of the largest laboratories.” The company also plans to build user and commercial products on its computing network, with a long-term goal of creating an open alternative to major closed-source AI products, while channeling revenue back to computing providers, developers, and data contributors.
