Begich plans ARMA bill to codify U.S. strategic Bitcoin reserve
Rep. Nick Begich said he plans to reintroduce a U.S. strategic Bitcoin reserve bill in the next few weeks, keeping a proposal to acquire one million BTC over five years. Begich said the bill will be renamed the American Reserves Modernization Act, or ARMA, after talks with the House Financial Services Committee to broaden support. The measure would build on President Donald Trump’s executive order to create permanent Bitcoin holdings similar to the country’s gold reserves.
