Golden Finance reports that on April 27, according to sources, U.S. President Donald Trump will meet with senior national security officials today to review the progress of stalled negotiations with Iran. Prior to this meeting, he had already decided to cancel plans for Special Envoys Steve Vitkov and Jared Kushner to travel to Pakistan for further talks.
Officials will assess the next steps, including whether to restart previously paused U.S. bombing operations after extending the ceasefire agreement in the near future. Trump stated that the reason for suspending diplomatic efforts was Iran’s failure to present a satisfactory proposal and the uncertainty surrounding the Tehran leadership’s stance and negotiations.
