I see that Base is truly competing with all other L2s this week. While most others seem to be sleeping, the developers on Base continue to bring new projects that are really interesting.

The standout for me is Pred – it’s an exchange focused on sports prediction markets. The concept is simple but clever, users trade implied probabilities for sports outcomes like football moneylines. It’s backed by Accel, so you know it has substance.

Then there’s Toady Hawk offering infinite creator quests and prize spins. All on-chain and provably fair using Chainlink VRF. You can also stake for a share of the rewards, and there’s an airdrop in April. These mechanics seem designed specifically to engage users.

Another interesting one is Noise, a rebranded platform where you can go long or short on the relevance of trends and brands. Like a prediction market but focused on cultural relevance. They plan a full launch in 2026.

I was also intrigued by AgentMail and Molten Agentic Cast, two projects focused on AI agents. AgentMail is basically inboxes for AI agents with email-like functionality, integrated with Coinbase protocol. Molten is a P2P hive mind for AI agents that publish and subscribe to real-time updates.

Frenzy Finance offers real-time prediction markets with five-second resolution. They also have a 10% referral on volume.

Wasabi Protocol is for professional traders – a prop AMM with leverage trading and market making. They’ve processed $10 million in volume.

The point is clear – Base is really going to compete because the ecosystem is full of innovation and builders committed regardless of market conditions. It’s not just hype; there are actual products and users. This is the real competition in the L2 space right now.
