Today I kept an eye on the mempool for a while, and it really felt like watching a bank teller line: you think that clicking send is the end, but actually you just put the small slip into the queue, and people are still squeezing in behind. When congestion hits, transactions get stuck first, and sometimes they get cut in line by a “more expensive” one, and by the time it’s finally your turn, the market has changed face... that frustrating slippage feeling just comes out. Recently, that mainstream chain has been upgrading/maintaining, and the group is guessing whether projects will migrate. I think there's no need to rush into imagining a migration drama; just the few hours of queuing before and after the upgrade are enough to make your mood fluctuate. Anyway, now I always check the queue heat before placing an order, to avoid being awakened in the middle of the night by my own trades.
