I just saw something quite impressive in the 2025 numbers. Elon Musk's net worth reached $754 billion that year, becoming the first person to cross the $700 billion mark. It's a number that sounds almost unreal.
The most interesting part is how he got there. His wealth grew by $333 billion during that period, mainly driven by two things: SpaceX reached a valuation of $800 billion, and then they reactivated their incentives in Tesla stock. That explains the movement quite well.
But what caught my attention the most is the broader context. The combined wealth of all global billionaires grew by $3.6 trillion in 2025. The top ten richest collectively gained $729 billion. Six of those ten are U.S. tech entrepreneurs, clearly reflecting where innovation in artificial intelligence and technology is concentrated.
It's a reminder of how wealth is concentrated in certain sectors and regions. Elon Musk's net worth of $754 billion in 2025 was mainly a reflection of that year's tech boom. Now in 2026, things have continued to evolve, but those 2025 numbers marked an important milestone in the history of global wealth.
